Baking cupcakes is becoming really trendy, you can buy cupcakes mixes in so many different flavors, in every shop. And decorating tips are all over the internet. So because I like to bake, me and my sister made some delicious cupcakes! We made the dough by ourselves and it tasted really good! To be honest, they tasted better than ever!!
We made two different tastes, my sister made a passionfruit cupcake with passionfruit topping and I made a victorian cupcake which was a vanilla cupcake with whipped cream and strawberry. And because I like to add a little something to it I made the whipped cream pink! They looked so good and tasted even better!!
The recipe was really simple, for the cupcakes I used:
– 120 gr. butter
– 120 gr. granulated sugar
– 120 gr. self-rising flour
– 2 eggs
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
First mix the butter and sugar and stir this till it gets fluffy and even. Than you can add the eggs, one by one. If that’s done you add the flour and baking powder. Last thing to do is adding the vanilla extract to it. When it’s done you divide the dough between twelve baking tins. The oven must be preheated at 180 degrees, when the oven reaches the right temperature the cupcakes you must bake them for 17 minutes.
When the cupcakes are in the oven you can start with the topping. You need:
– strawberry jelly
– 175 cl. whipped cream (fresh)
– powdered sugar
Put the cream in a bowl and stir the cream until it is really stiff and cut the strawberries into half. When the cupcakes are ready they need to cool down for about 30 minutes. When they are ready you must cut the top off. Than, put some strawberry jelly on the cupcake, add some whipped cream and two half strawberries. Put the top back up and sprinkle them with the powdered sugar and they are ready to eat, enjoy!!
